Ayu Ramen

Ayu sometimes means Ayumi Hamasaki, Japanese famous pop star. But this ramen is not made with that Ayu but Ayu-fish. This Ramen shop
is located at a backstreet of Futako tamagawa opposite side of the Sento, public bath. This small Ramen shop serves you a soup and noodle dish with a special recipe. Its soup is made with a mixture of many kinds of herbs and its extra thin noodle is boiled deliberately for the Japanese-Al Dente taste. On the top of it, Ayu Ramen comes with a half body of charcoal burned Ayu. While there are a lot of Ayu Ramen shops in Japan, this Ayu Ramen shop has its own originallity. If you can finish noodle first, try to order Onigiri, a rice ball, and put it in the soup to enjoy the flavor of the soup as a second round. Futakotamagawa area is nearby Tama river and you can alos fish Ayu if you have the right equipment and its know-how.
